    Hoka Clifton L Suede

The spec sheet answers the everyday question outright: Best uses, Walking and Lifestyle. Under that sits a full-length compression-molded EVA midsole and what Hoka calls early-stage MetaRocker geometry, a sole shaped to roll you forward rather than let you push off. Listed at 8.60 oz with a 5.00 mm drop, on a sandwich mesh upper with leather overlays.

    New Balance 574

Condition one half, leave the other alone. New Balance pairs cow leather panels with a textile upper, so the leather takes a conditioner and the textile asks for nothing beyond a wipe. Below that sits ENCAP: a midsole of lightweight foam wrapped in “a durable polyurethane rim.” Note where the word durable lands in that sentence — on the rim, not the foam.

    New Balance 9060

Filed under Men > Shoes > Lifestyle in New Balance's own breadcrumb, which is the entire argument for its place up here. The midsole is dual-density, ABZORB over SBS, sitting below a mesh upper with suede overlays and sway bars enlarged from the 990. Suede is the part that marks first, so brush it dry and keep it well away from a machine.

    On Cloud 6

The page title does the arguing here: Men's All-Day Lifestyle Shoe. About as unambiguous as a maker gets about when a shoe is meant to be worn. The listed upper material is polyester, it is made in Vietnam, and the fit note runs to three words — true to size. A plain shoe making a plain claim, which either matches your week or doesn't.

    adidas Samba OG

Born on the pitch, says adidas, and the breadcrumb says Originals — that pairing is exactly why a football shoe lands on a list about walking around. Soft leather upper, suede overlays, gum sole, kept deliberately low. The sizing guidance is a single line, true to size, order your usual, and the gum sole is the bit that picks up grit from a wet pavement.

    Puma Suede Classic XXI

A full suede upper, itemised on the page as 97.19% cow leather and 2.81% textile — precision nobody asked for, but there it is, and the breadcrumb ends on Sneakers rather than sport. Rubber midsole and outsole beneath. Suede scuffs where canvas stains, so a crepe brush and a dry cloth do more for it than any wash ever will.

    Reebok Club C 85 Vintage

Court shoe by birth, filed under Classics by Reebok itself, which is the only route by which a tennis silhouette clears the scope gate. The upper is described as soft, garment leather, over an exposed foam tongue that the page labels a vintage detail. The tongue ages first, and no amount of conditioning brings foam back.

    Salomon XT-6

Pull one lace tab and the quickLACE system tightens the whole shoe: no bow, no tying, nothing to work out when a loop goes slack. Salomon lists a molded OrthoLite sockliner, a protective toecap and a Mud contaGRIP outsole, and its own product title calls this a sneaker rather than a trail shoe. Breadcrumb reads Icons.

    Vans Classic Slip-On

No laces at all — elastic side panels do the holding, so it goes on quicker than anything you have to thread and slides off a heel just as readily. Canvas upper, vulcanized build, rubber sidewall carrying the foxing stripe, waffle outsole underneath — and that canvas wets through in a downpour, which is the honest limit of the thing.

    Vans Old Skool

Two textures on one upper, suede and canvas, and they age at different speeds — the suede panel goes pale where it scuffs while the canvas just gets grubby. Vulcanized build, padded collar, waffle outsole, foxing stripe along the sidewall. Shelved under Icons like the Slip-On, and a rung lower purely because the model name sorts later.

    adidas Campus 00s

Suede upper, contrasting 3-Stripes, and a breadcrumb that reads Home / Women / Shoes — no category whatsoever, which is what drops it into the last block. adidas's own Lifestyle index is the thing that keeps it in scope. Fit guidance reads true to size, and suede does not forgive a puddle the way a coated leather would.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Canvas

Runs large, and Converse says so in as many words on the page: order a half size down. Canvas upper, OrthoLite cushioning, diamond-pattern rubber outsole, All Star license plate on the heel. One master-product URL holds the colourways behind a single selector rather than splitting them across a page each, which is rarer than it ought to be. High-top or low, most people mean the same shoe.

    Nike Air Force 1 '07

Perforated toe box on a leather upper, Nike Air in the sole, and rubber pivot circles underfoot that stopped being about pivoting a long time ago. The product page states no category at all — it is the Lifestyle index, where this exact shoe is listed, that keeps it inside the gate. Those toe perforations hold grit, so wipe them out rather than round them.

    Nike Dunk Low Retro

Creases are the point. Nike's own copy says the leather upper softens and gains vintage character with wear, which is a maker admitting its shoe looks better used than boxed. Foam midsole, rubber outsole, the same pivot circle. Like the Air Force, this page carries no category string, so scope comes off Nike's Lifestyle index, where the slug matches exactly.

    Veja V-10

Machine washing is strongly discouraged, Veja says, then tells you what to do instead: a slightly damp cloth on the smooth leather, protective balm roughly every three months, waterproofing every three to six. The insole lists Amazonian rubber, sugarcane-based EVA and organic cotton, and the shoes are made in Brazil. Veja runs a separate Running section, and this model sits outside it.
