Every Beyoncé Album, Ranked
Would you rank the Beyoncé who sold the most, or the one who made albums worth hearing whole? Studio albums only, in full, with nothing left out for being bad. The Lion King: The Gift is a film soundtrack led mostly by other artists, so it goes, though two of the six tallies count it. Homecoming is a Coachella set on tape. Everything Is Love went out as The Carters; Destiny's Child is another act. I Am... Sasha Fierce shipped on two discs and B'Day was reissued with its order rebuilt; neither makes a second record. Slant, Parade, Forbes, Seat Unique, The Melodic Margin and NO MAJESTY supply the tallies. A record is only measured against rankings published late enough to include it. Top three on 3 or more eligible rankings takes the upper group, whatever is left forms the second, and your ballot moves placement inside either. The link goes to the oldest edition Spotify carries of that record, chosen by edition and never by the date the page prints.
Beyoncé — BEYONCÉ (2013) is #1 on “Every Beyoncé Album, Ranked”.
- 1

Beyoncé — BEYONCÉ (2013)
Fourteen songs dropped at midnight with no single and no campaign, a video attached to each, and that is where the album became the unit she works in. Partition stitches two songs together and lets the second one stay filthy. Its tier tally is 3 from the 6, enough for the upper group. Spotify prints 2014 on the page because the record reached the service a year after its December 2013 drop.

Beyoncé — RENAISSANCE (2022)
Ballroom, house and disco run together as one continuous mix, built so the joins between tracks carry as much weight as the tracks themselves. Alien Superstar rides a Right Said Fred lift under a vocal that never sounds like it is working for anything. NO MAJESTY closed its list before this existed, so only 5 rankings could reach it, and 4 of those went top three.

Beyoncé — Lemonade (2016)
Anger, then the climbdown, then the repair, arranged as a sequence you are meant to take in order. Sandcastles is where the production falls away to a piano and a voice that cracks and is left cracked. Spotify's carrier hangs a demo of Sorry on the end after the closer, so stop at track 12. Five top-three placements from the 6, with NO MAJESTY the only holdout.

Beyoncé — COWBOY CARTER (2024)
Country instrumentation used as an argument about who is allowed to make country, stretched over twenty-seven tracks with Linda Martell, Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton reading the radio-host links. Ya Ya welds a Nancy Sinatra sample to a Beach Boys interpolation and shouts across both. Forbes still called it forthcoming and NO MAJESTY stopped at six albums, so 4 lists could place it and 3 did, with the hour and change the price of the ambition.

Beyoncé — 4 (2011)
Horns, live drums and a deliberate turn away from whatever radio wanted that year, cut in the year she severed professional ties with her father as manager. Countdown runs three and a half minutes, changes direction about as often, and lifts its Uhh Ahh hook from a Boyz II Men record. Just 1 of the 6 rankings places it top three, roughly what a record people love alone rather than together looks like.

Beyoncé — B'Day (2006)
Written and cut in roughly three weeks, which you can take as a limitation or as the method: it moves fast and never stops to explain itself. Suga Mama flips a Jake Wade and the Soul Searchers break into a strut. The 2007 deluxe resequenced it seven months later and added new songs, making that a reissue rather than a rival, and its one top-three placement of the 6 is NO MAJESTY's.

Beyoncé — Dangerously In Love (2003)
Her first solo record still thinks like a group record in places, carried by two enormous singles with filler arranged politely around them. Dangerously In Love 2 is the ballad that proves the instrument was already finished, and it does that in under five minutes. Nothing in the 6 places it top three, a flat 0, against a certification the RIAA took to 7x platinum in December 2024.

Beyoncé — I AM...SASHA FIERCE (2008)
Two discs, ballads on one and club tracks on the other, divided by an alter ego explained at length and then barely used. Halo, written with Ryan Tedder and Evan Bogart, is the reason anybody keeps it. Spotify shelves the original as a single listing rather than two, and Seat Unique alone places it top three, 1 of the 6, on a record the RIAA had certified at seven times platinum by the end of 2024, streams included.
